After gapping at the open on no news or rumors, DataCall Technologies Inc. (DCLT), which effected a 5:1 reverse split in February, is quickly closing the gap. The last time DCLT stock actually traded was back on June 29 when 5,927 shares were exchanged on the penny stock at 0.026. Prior to that massive $154 trade, the penny stock had 91,227 total shares traded for the entire month of June. Perhaps the market is reacting to the the real-time information/content providers firing of McConnell & Jones, LLP as their audit firm back on June 4th.

It is worth noting, since the abnormal trading has brought Data Call Technologies into the spotlight, that revenues have grown for the three months ended March 31, 2012, a record quarter actually, as compared to the year prior. The Company reported sales of $161,421 compared to $129,682 with an increase in gross profit as well to $129,998 compared to $100,242 respectively. Net income was reported as well in the quarter, $7,215, compared to a net loss of $13,488 for the same period the year prior.
Almost two months ago, the Company entered into an agreement with FlightStats, Inc. to incorporate the offering of flight data and information. The data was said to consist of Domestic and International flight arrivals, departures, and delays that will be offered for U.S., Canada and Mexico airport locations as well as Caribbean, Europe, Middle East, and Central America airports. Other than that, DCLT shouldn’t be on anyone’s radar screens.

Bottom Line: Add DCLT to the one-and-done list of penny stocks. even with the record sales, small number of shares outstanding, and possibility that the deal with FlightStats is a huge revenue generator, it’s unlikely the stock will have the liquidity to trade like today.
