Although today marks the first day OTC traders will see the penny stock of GeoTraq Inc. (GTRQ), gains are ready to be locked in for those who grabbed Mobile Data Corp. (MBYL). Set to change the wireless world with the cheapest, smallest, longest battery life GPS tracker that even works indoors, GTRQ stock, although today is it’s first session, has gained 1,914% since MBYL stock opened March 26 at 0.007. Although current filings have been missing for over 2 years now, the revolution the Company’s Cell-ID could create, not only in the smartphone market, but in anything using cellular triangulation as a primary and only means of determining location has placed this ticker firmly on the radar screen.

From what it looks like, GeoTraq appears to be the rebirth of what Mobile Data Corp. started almost 5 years ago when the Company, in October 2009, acquired from Spidex Technologies all of the rights, title and interest in a mobile data technology for Smartphones, MDC GPS Technology, that can run on GPS enabled Smartphones. The application was set up for Blackberry Storm 2, Apple iPhone, Palm Pre, and Google Andriod devices to run in the background, collecting and transmitting location data to a server which included location monitoring of vehicles, children and members of social networking groups.
Virtually every smartphone and smart device today already has GPS tracking capabilities, yet when the device is lost or stolen, finding the service provider that can help track down an locate the device is the real pain. The mistake Mobile Data Corp. made was to focus solely on Blackberry users having joined forces with Select and Elite level Blackberry® Alliance Partner developers so that the MDC-Tracker™ could report where a corporate Smartphone and the Human Assets attached to the device could be located at any given time.
Because Mobile Data Corp. went dark from financial reporting since their 3 months ended October 31, 2011, knowing whether or not the success or failure of the business model provided a positive or negative cash flow is difficult to determine. Since most links to any data about GeoTraq are less than a logo here or a screenshot there, the deduction that this is clearly in relaunch mode makes GTRQ a bit risky having had 6 consecutive days of better than 1.6 million shares traded.
Back on October 5, 2011, Mobile Data Corp. issued a $30,000 convertible promissory note that allowed for the holder to convert any unpaid amounts into MBYL stock at a cost basis of 0.03 per share with a maximum number of 1,000,000 shares to be issued. Not being able to track if more of these convertible debt devices were issued between October, 2011 and now is where the risk comes in when playing GTRQ stock.
With volume in the millions for 6 straight days, the risk is minimized quite a bit since expectations of current filings and some form of announcement from GeoTraq should bring in fresh eyes.

Bottom Line:
Having re-branded MDC-Tracker™ as Cell-ID™ and reported to have submitted a patent application for every conceivable device that would use cellular triangulation as a primary and only means of determining location, GTRQ deserves o be added to the list of penny stocks to watch. Not tracking GTRQ stock after it’s gained nearly 2,000% and introduced a new symbol today could be a costly mistake, especially for those who can swing trade for the fences.
