Strategic Global Investments wasn’t fairing too well heading into today’s trading session having only their Q3, 2013 financials to rely on and some recent PR about making promotional and sales videos for a real estate firm in San Diego, California. For the 3 and 9 months ended September 30, 2013, Strategic Global had booked revenues of just $476 and $8,448, respectively versus $18,600 and $25,975 for the same respective periods in 2012. It’s no wonder STBV stock was floating just above their 52 week low of 0.0008 prior to today’s announcement.
This morning, STBV stock gapped open 150% from their 0.0032 closing price Friday after news pre-market circulated of the Company’s intention to purchase of a Marijuana Growing facility in Teller County, Colorado. The mention of “cannabis” was the 2nd time we’ve seen STBV stock explode from its use; the last time being April, 2013 off news that they were going to shoot “Affordable Care Act” videos.
STBV stock was trading at .06 back then and there were less than half the amount of shares outstanding then (83,197,680). Any chances of Strategic Global Investments actually getting into the pot growing industry is going to be cause for more of their un-issued stock to be handed out since $13,159 in cash as of their last filing is barely enough to grow weed in your basement.

Northstar Global Business Services announced today a delivery system medical marijuana patients that only Tony Montana could have thought of. The Company which is focused on solutions for a healthier life, selling alternative medicine products through their wholly owned subsidiary, MedGen, announced that it has been working with several partners to produce a spray containing the active ingredient in medical marijuana, THC, using its patented oral spray delivery system, and existing proprietary formulas.
The news was enough to keep MDIN stock out of the trip-zeros and into the sub penny levels on volume which is due to be a record day for the 2013 slider. Almost exactly one year ago, MDIN stock ran to as high as .0107 before taking the next 11 months to slide down into sub penny land to levels which let a trader buy 10,000,000 shares of the stock for less than the price of a 5 year old Honda Civic.
Assuming Northstar Global Business Services can actually get their product approved for sale, MDIN could be the bigger winner of the two but the length of the track could be too long for anyone to stay in the race. They did do $242,063 worth of sales for the 9 months ended September 30, 2013 which produced a gross profit of $63,101.

Bottom Line:
The use of the word “marijuana” with penny stocks that have little to do with the industry of cannabis will eventually fall back to their humble beginnings. However, take an alternative medicine company and throw in the possibility of selling a nasal spray which can deliver the effects of smoking a joint or eating a brownie and you just might have yourself a runner their in due course.
