Coming off a quarter, the 3 months ended April 30, 2013, whereby the majority of revenues since inception were booked, Urban Barn Foods seems to have bee stirring up the pot from within over the last couple of months. Having been carrying little to no debt as of their last Q filed, funding a major expansion move would have seemed to have been a ripe opportunity for the Company.
On June 11, 2013, Delaney Equity Group LLC got the call for a one year non-exclusive placement agent/investment banking agreement for the purpose of raising as much money as possible. Working on a scalable cash fee equal to 10% of the equity funds raised up to $3,000,000, 8% of the funds raised between $3,000,000 and $5,000,000, and 6% of the funds raised over $5,000,000, it’s not the first time the group would have successfully helped to finance a penny stock.
Looking into other OTCBB listed companies which might ring a bell, Rangeford Resources, Inc. (RGFR) and Silver Falcon Mining, Inc. (SFMI) have both had dealings with Delaney Equity Group LLC. Having seen alerts in the past issued on RGFR stock, as well as SFMI stock, the chances of URBF stock hitting an inbox near you just increased its odds 10-fold.
An interesting note for Urban Barn Foods’ planned expansion came when they announced at the start of this month that Dr. Merle Jensen would be part of their R&D team. Jensen has devoted his career to controlled environment agriculture, designing intensive food production systems ranging in application from our Planet to Aerospace for NASA. With connections to aerospace and plans to raise $6,000,000 with Delaney, URBF could be ready for blast off in an attempt to burst past their January high of 0.165.

It’s interesting to see URBF making all the right moves internally in order to make a deep impact on their business model. Although it would be best to wait until the 10-K filing to verify how many shares of URBF stock are in the public float, adding it to the list of penny stocks to watch wouldn’t be a bad idea for now.
